Good experience and good value with a complicated move.
When I moved from Germany to London in 2018, I asked ITO to place my goods in storage for a few weeks and deliver to London after I find a flat. When I had to unexpectedly extend storage for an indeterminate period due to difficulty finding a right-sized flat, the company was very flexible. In the end my things were in storage for 4 years.
The cost of storage was relatively inexpensive, and overall the cost for the move was a good deal compared to other quotes I received in 2018. My move was further complicated by Brexit, so when my things were being delivered in 2022, I had to pay UK import taxes on my used household goods (!) but ITO helped with that. I had a small transport so I did have to wait a few weeks for the delivery of the goods (i.e. until next big transport to UK), but I was OK with that because it was the reason why I originally received a competitive quote, and following Brexit, the number of transports made by th
e company to the UK I think decreased so it was not something they could have expected back in 2018. One thing to improve would have been communication (hence 4 stars instead of 5), I did not always get a response to e-mails so then had to call but was always able to reach someone when I did call.
In summary, after 4 years in storage, my things all arrived in good order and all accounted for, so, I am very happy with ITO's services and will look for their services in the future. ITO were professional & honest throughout the process, and invoicing was always clear and honest (e.g. storage invoicing period, insurance amount) and timely (I paid quarterly).
P.S. I recommend sealing boxes fully for anyone who is packing their goods, just in case they do have to sit in storage for a bit longer than expected ;)Lesen Sie mehr
